Wedding Tips

My number 1 wedding tip is try on ALL the wedding dresses! You'll be surprised what style you fall in love with

Settle your nerves before the ceremony with a drink and/or first look with your other half!

As a DIY bride, I found Facebook Marketplace a great place to look for decor items which were near enough brand new!

Consider an unplugged ceremony for your big day. You've hired a professional photographer for a reason, so don't allow guests' mobile phones to be in the background of those photos!

Jump on the 2023 trend and hire yourself a content creator for your big day! They work alongside your photographer and videographer, BUT bring you social media quality photos and videos a lot quicker, with lots of candid and behind the scenes shots.

Don't forget that this wedding is YOUR wedding and while you might want to please everyone, ultimately you should be doing everything for you two as a couple

Wedding Stationery Tips

A question I've had and seen online this week is whether you need a menu per person for your on the day stationery? I think this is a nice touch if you're having a formal sit down meal with a choice menu, so guests are reminded about what they've picked to eat. However, where there's no choice (except for informing of dietary requirements), I've found that guests tend to switch to a vegetarian starter or main, just because they like the look of it! So in that case, I wouldn't do a menu per person and maybe only one per table if you really want to.

Don't forget to make your wedding stationery flow, from save the dates and invites through to on-the-day stationery. A similar colour scheme or style will ensure your ideas come to life seamlessly.

Don't forget when ordering save the dates and invites, that you only need one per household, not per guest! And add on an extra one for that gorgeous flat lay photo and to keep forever!

Upgrade that scrap of paper for your ceremony readings, vows and speeches to beautiful reading, vow or speeches books. Your wedding photos will look all the better for it!

Having a choice menu and want to have a menu per guest? Why not add their name to it to save money on place names! 🤩 Mine start from just £3.50.

What stationery do I need (Part 1)? As a minimum you will need a wedding invitation. If you'd like to do save the dates, great, but they're not always necessary. Wedding websites and digital stationery are great for getting details out there, easily collecting RSVPs and budget friendly too!
